Students catch couple having intercourse in automotive in Bristol as ‘human waste’ additionally discovered

A group of university students were left stunned after spotting a couple engaged in an intimate act in a car during broad daylight in Bristol.

The passionate pair were parked on Circular Road on the Downs, nestled between two vans, leading to an unexpected lesson on the birds and the bees during the students’ wildlife tour.

The vehicle was stationed next to the pavement, aligned with a row of vans inhabited by people. This bold public display of affection has prompted warnings about unusual activities that might occur on the Downs.

Anna Stevens, the biodiversity engagement and learning manager at the Avon Gorge and Downs Wildlife team, regularly guides classes of students and schoolchildren around the area, educating them about the remarkable local nature.

Addressing the Downs committee, she recounted: “When I was out with a group of first-year university students, we had an incident where we were walking on the Circular Road, right next to the vehicles that are parked on the side. Right in between two of the big vans, we had a small car.

“As we walked past, we realised that there were two people having sex in the car. And I obviously have 17 students with me, by the time we realise that it’s too late. They weren’t young, I could have been with 10-year-olds, but I wasn’t, thank goodness.”, reports Bristol Live.

The issue highlights a concern that people need to be mindful of, especially if they don’t frequent the area often. When individuals feel a sense of comfort and familiarity in a public space, they may be more likely to engage in behaviour they wouldn’t normally exhibit.

The couple in question was in a public area, in broad daylight, and adjacent to a pedestrian path.

Although the timing of the incident is unclear, the warning coincides with Bristol City Council’s declaration that certain areas of the Downs pose a public health risk. Two prominent councillors stated that they have evidence of sites being utilised as “organised toilet facilities, filled with human waste”.

A member of the public, who wishes to remain anonymous, added: “It’s not about being in a home, it’s about being in a lawless area, which we’ve allowed that area to become. We know that this is a serious issue. I very strongly feel that Anna and her guests need protecting, and we’re not protecting them.”
