EXCLUSIVE: The long-awaited Epstein files are finally set to be released to the public after President Trump signed a new law forcing disclosure, raising questions about what he might be hiding
Donald Trump only agreed to release the Epstein files due to growing pressure, raising questions over what the US President is hiding, an expert says.
The Orange Manbaby “has had to be dragged kicking and screaming” to the point that tens of thousands more files about the dead paedophile are set to be obtainable to anyone in the next month, professor Anthony Glees said.
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star, Professor Glees said Trump only made the decision now because “he was afraid of what Epstein had to say about his relationship with his former pal” and put forward two key points the documents may reveal.
He told us: “Virginia Guiffre has in fact been quite vague about Trump. She says her knowledge of him was based on her time as a ‘locker attendant’ at Mar a Lago where her father had worked. It was her father who had introduced her to Trump.
“But there may be more to this. Why did Trump hire such a young girl as a ‘locker attendant’? What exactly are the duties of a ‘locker attendant’?
“What made Giuffre’s father think of recommending his daughter whom, according to her memoirs, had already been no stranger to the world of illicit sex. I think we will find out more about the Mar a Lago club (and we note that Epstein denied he was a member of it).”
Professor Glees also argued a second point, adding: “Epstein said to Maxwell that Trump had spent ‘hours’ with Giuffre at ‘my house’, we assume he meant his New York residence.
“Karoline Leavitt confirmed that Trump had spent hours with Giuffre but added that Giuffre had said before that nothing ‘inappropriate’ had taken place. Confusingly, Giuffre denied ever having been with Trump at Epstein’s house. The files should clear this up.
“If Giuffre was lying about this, what else might she have been lying about? Her testimony has never been tested in court but it is not unreasonable to suppose that her witness statements were coloured by the fear she had for saying things that would damage Trump.”
“After all, in respect of Khashoggi, just yesterday, in explaining his brutal murder and the dismemberment of his body, Trump said eerily ‘things happen’ (something the Godfather would have said).”
The expert was referring to Saudi Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s visit to the White House on Tuesday (November 18).
During a press conference, Trump angrily dismissed a question about the 2018 murder of Jamal Khashoggi, claiming the Saudi dissident journalist was “extremely controversial”. Official reports state Khashoggi was ambushed and strangled by a 15-member squad of Saudi operatives.
His body was dismembered and disposed of in some way that was never publicly revealed. As a result, Trump’s recent remarks seemed to go against a 2021 US intelligence report, which concluded that the crown prince had authorised the operation resulting in Khashoggi’s 2018 killing at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.
Professor Glees further added: “I believe the full release of the Epstein files will answer several key questions about Trump’s knowledge of Epstein’s foul secret and enable us to get past the current ‘he said, she said’ confusion which has dogged us all to date
“They will be a gold mine of evidence (which is ironic given that Trump has always adored gold) – and if they strike lucky, which they may not do of course, an Eldorado for those out to undermine the president’s standing with his own supporters.”
He continued: “But what is likely to be most damaging for Trump is that it will remind US voters of all Trump’s sexual shenanigans over the past two decades, from the ‘Hollywood Tape’ (where Trump explained how he could grab women sexually and get away with it because he was so famous) to the Jean E Carroll case, even the Stormy Daniels story. These are all things Trump was dead and buried.
“Epstein allegedly introduced Trump to Melania (this has been denied by the Trumps) but we might learn some more about this as well.”
Professor Glees said that most Americans, especially conservatives, are strongly against underage sex and sex trafficking, which is why “over 80% of Republican voters want the Epstein files released”, to clear Trump of any involvement or knowledge of Epstein’s crimes.
He noted that Trump and Epstein were once friends until Trump allegedly banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago in 2007, though the reasons for this are disputed.
The expert added that any evidence in the files suggesting Trump behaved inappropriately with girls at Mar-a-Lago could lead to his immediate impeachment. He said: “The files should clear up this matter.”
