Artificial intelligence is ruining Christmas for kids as it gives a blunt answer to one of the most asked questions at this time of year. More and more parents are now getting furious with AI models as it leaves kids with more questions than answers.

Some kids have been left distraught after AI shattered their illusions of the big day. While many adults are stressing over presents and dinner, children are only fixed on one thing — whether Santa Claus will visit them this year.

Children have been turning to AI to ask all their burning questions about the holiday season. But now, AI is giving kids a dose of hard truth as it explained the true meaning of Christmas to young ones, in true Grinch style.

The New York Post revealed some parents were left horrified when their children came in, asking why AI was telling them that Santa was not real. One parent was left having to break her son’s heart when he came in begging to know why a Google search told him he was a fictional character.

Kelly Bowron was left giggling nervously when her 11-year-old son Leo was stunned to learn the jolly fat man who brings presents to every good kid was in fact an imaginary person. Having been under the illusion for his entire life, he was curious for more answers about St Nick was able to get the job done in just one night.

But he was completely blindsided when a simple Google search on Father Christmas‘ spending budget was for his worldwide deliveries. Instead, he was hit with a horrifying realisation at the hand of the search engine’s AI feature.

“There is no set amount Santa spends per child, as he is a fictional character,” the model told him. Recalling the moment, Kelly admitted her darling son was inconsolable.

“He screamed, ‘A fictional character?’” mum-of-two Kelly explained. “And I was shocked, laughing in disbelief, telling him, ‘No, no. Google doesn’t always tell the truth. I still believe in Santa. Don’t listen to Google.'”

Kelly immediately launched into damage control for the next several hours, as Leo was seemingly devastated at finding out the “truth” about Christmas. Eventually, however, he was eventually able to buy his mum’s pleas that the man in red was in fact a real person.

But several parents have had to deal with their own crisis moments after AI threatens to destroy their kids’ visions of the big day. A spokesperson from Google apologised for the mixup, insisting that the company “believes in Santa” and even going as far as to track Santa’s movements overnight.

Other parents have already admitted they feel “betrayed” by Google as it continues to ruin kids’ perceptions of Christmas, hitting them with cold hard truths. It comes new research found that just over half of kids under the age of 8 already have their own phone, risking their own illusions being shattered in the process.

Lifestyle influencer Jeanice Perez now has a bone to pick with AI after it told her third-grader child Jordyn that Santa was not real. After having it out with her sprog, she was left livid at Google ruining her kids’ holidays.

“I’d spent years committing to the bit — perfecting my ‘Santa’ handwriting, making sure the reindeer had their carrots, nibbling the cookies just right, making sure not to let her find the wrapping paper ‘Santa’ used for her presents in the closet,” she fumed. “Then, one day, I was just betrayed by Google.”
