A car has crashed into a gas substation in West Sussex with a number of homes being forced to evacuate.
Firefighters are at the scene after the crash has impacted six flats and one house. A 100 metre evacuation is taking place surrounding the substation in Pagham Road on Monday morning, November 24.
There are three fire crews in attendance as people are being transferred to Pagham Church Hall.
A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire and Rescue said: “We are currently dealing with a road traffic incident – a car has crashed into a gas substation in Pagham Road.
“A 100 metre evacuation is taking place as a safety precaution.
“We have three crews in attendance. Avoid the area to allow firefighters to work safely.”
