‘Men pay £500 for bottle of my tears – now my 4 youngsters may have greatest Christmas’

Liz River, 44, from the US Midwest, has been an adult content creator for 21 years and says she’s been selling her tears for years – and it’s helped her pay for Christmas

A mum-of-four revealed that she’s funding Christmas by flogging £500 bottles of tears as men can’t get enough of her weeping.

Yes, you read that right. For most, December brings festive cheer – but Liz River spends the majority of her pre-Christmas days having a good weep.

The 44 year old keeps a jar within arm’s reach to collect the liquid for punters who she claims will fork out serious cash for it. It comes after a mum revealed she is only buying second hand presents this year.

When quizzed about whether the extra dosh would go towards Christmas presents and help with the household budget, Liz responded: “You can bet your hat!”

Speaking to NeedToKnow, she continued: “Without the money from selling tears in jars and videos of me crying, Christmas would be very different – we’d probably only have the bare minimum.

“I’ve actually already started shopping! Selling tears in jars means that instead of having a small plastic Christmas tree, we can have a live one that we can replant afterwards.

“Plus, because of this money, my whole family will be together instead of being spread out across the country for the holiday. I set aside a percentage of every sale and put it toward Christmas.”

Liz, who comes from the US Midwest, reckons sales began modestly when she first launched, shifting just two to three bottles annually.

But she’s allegedly shifted over 100 in total since launching her bizarre business venture years back.

She remarked: “It takes time to fill a jar, even a little one! I’m thinking about offering a micro version soon, maybe the size of a necklace charm.

“Right now, I only offer the super-expensive, ‘once-in-a-lifetime superfan spoiling themselves’ sizes.

“It would be nice to offer different options!”

Liz, a veteran adult content creator of 21 years, spends a significant portion of her earnings on her four children, aged 29, 28, 23 and 17.

She admitted that her children “sort of” know what she does for a living.

The older children – especially the girls – are more aware of the “specifics.”

Liz added that this type of career runs in the family as her aunt was an exotic dancer.

It turns out that the aunt was the first out of her family to buy a house without a man. This ‘unusual’ at the time move was respected by the family.

Liz then revealed that her own mum was a fetish model for a while and now one of her daughters occasionally dabble in the line of work, noting it’s not as taboo than it used to be.

But selling tears isn’t Liz’s only source of income – she’s also had plenty of other peculiar requests.

She shared: “I’ve never been one to hold back tears anyway – I’ve always been very sensitive – so it felt like a natural progression for me to explore this professionally.

“I sent out a tweet saying that I was ready to make a custom crying video. I immediately had someone message me with their order.

“He requested a 20-minute video, mostly of my face and fully clothed.

“He just wanted to see me cry real tears and also wanted to know if he could buy the tissues I used or whether I had a tear-stained pillow.

“That’s when I first thought of the jars of tears. I could picture myself crying into glass bottles.

“So, I started offering that on ‘Loyal Fans’ for my top-tier clients. Men also pay hundreds of dollars just to sit with me and rub my feet, and my first paid shoot was for a cast fetish.

“[But] I think for tangible items, the jars of tears and the tear-stained pillowcases are the weirdest ones.

“I’ve also sold old shoes that are falling apart and dirty socks.”

Liz, who became a mum in her teens, thoroughly enjoys her unconventional line of work, which she initially took up at the age of 23 to support her family.

However, over the years, it has provided her with a level of freedom and flexibility that few jobs can offer.

She shared: “I first started as a single mom with three kids to provide for.

“At 23, that’s a heavy load, but I was stubborn – I knew there was something out there that would satisfy my artistic side and make me more money than I was earning waiting tables.

“I really do love doing weird stuff for work, it’s so much fun!”

“But obviously, when my kids were small, the objective was to make as much money as possible in as little time as possible so I could be with them as much as possible.

“This year, [for Christmas], we’re getting together early to accommodate everyone’s schedules. I handmade stockings out of felt for everyone, just like my grandparents did for me.

“We’re going to cook together and watch ‘White Christmas’, it’s the only movie we all agree on!”.

“I actually like doing the festivities early; it feels more relaxed. On the actual day, December 25, it’ll just be me.

“Honestly, I’ll probably film or stream that day. Come find me, I guess!”
