The US President also took aim at Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar and the state’s Governor Tim Walz as he made wild claims about the country’s immigrant population
US President Donald Trump threatened to stop “all migration from third-world countries” and took aim at Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar and the state’s Governor Tim Walz in a bizarre late-night rant.
The President called Gov Walz “retarded” and claimed Rep Omar had “probably entered the country illegally”, launching into an unhinged diatribe about “Somalian gangs roving the streets looking for ‘prey'”.
He also claimed that “most of” the USA’s foreign population “are on welfare, from failed nations, or from prisons, mental institutions, gangs, or drug cartels”.
The tirade came in the wake of Wednesday’s shooting of two National Guard troops in Washington DC that left one dead and the other in critical condition.
Posting on Truth Social, he ranted: “I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries to allow the U.S. system to fully recover, terminate all of the millions of Biden illegal admissions, including those signed by Sleepy Joe Biden’s Autopen, and remove anyone who is not a net asset to the United States, or is incapable of loving our Country, end all Federal benefits and subsidies to noncitizens of our Country, denaturalize migrants who undermine domestic tranquility, and deport any Foreign National who is a public charge, security risk, or non-compatible with Western Civilization.
“These goals will be pursued with the aim of achieving a major reduction in illegal and disruptive populations, including those admitted through an unauthorized and illegal Autopen approval process. Only REVERSE MIGRATION can fully cure this situation. Other than that, HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL, except those that hate, steal, murder, and destroy everything that America stands for — You won’t be here for long!”
Another post read: “The official United States Foreign population stands at 53 million people (Census), most of which are on welfare, from failed nations, or from prisons, mental institutions, gangs, or drug cartels. They and their children are supported through massive payments from Patriotic American Citizens who, because of their beautiful hearts, do not want to openly complain or cause trouble in any way, shape, or form. They put up with what has happened to our Country, but it’s eating them alive to do so!”
He added: “As an example, hundreds of thousands of refugees from Somalia are completely taking over the once great State of Minnesota. Somalian gangs are roving the streets looking for “prey” as our wonderful people stay locked in their apartments and houses hoping against hope that they will be left alone.”
President Trump then accused Walz of doing “nothing, either through fear, incompetence, or both” and claimed that Omar “probably came into the USA illegally”.
Ms Omar was born the youngest of seven siblings in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu in 1981, according to the BBC. After her mum died when she was two years old, she was raised by her father and grandfather. The family fled the country during the Somali Civil War and spent four years in a Kenyan refugee camp before moving to the US in 1995.
She has often been at odds with Trump and drew praise for fighting to change a 181-year ban on headwear in the House of Representatives, allowing her to wear a hijab for her oath of office.
In the wake of Wednesday’s shooting of two National Guard troops in Washington DC that left one dead and the other in critical condition, Trump said his administration would review everyone who entered the country under former President Joe Biden — a measure his administration had been planning even before the shooting, reports the US Mirror.
The knee-jerk reaction from Trump was in response to the suspected shooter being an Afghan national who entered the country in 2021 under a Biden administration program.
Officials say Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29, allegedly drove from his home in Bellingham, Washington, to the nation’s capital where he shot two West Virginia National Guard members deployed in Washington.
