LNER and Northern difficulty ‘don’t journey’ warning after incident at Leeds prepare station

A major incident in Leeds has caused widespread disruption for several rail networks after several train lines were halted.

The incidents today (November 30) were reportedly caused by a power outage causing signalling issues for train looking to pass through Leeds station.

CrossCountry, London North Eastern Railway (LNER) and Northern services have all issues do not travel warnings for those whose routes pass through Leeds.

TransPennine Express’ message to customers reads: “Due to a fault with the signalling system at Leeds, all lines are blocked.”

“There is a fault with the signalling system at Leeds, all lines between Manchester Victoria and York via Leeds will be closed. TransPennine Express services WILL NOT operate on the following routes between Manchester Victoria and York via Leeds on 30/11/2025 and Manchester Victoria to Scarborough, in both directions.”
