Grace Hayden is a rising Australian punditry star and took fans’ breath away with a stunning beach look this week. The 23-year-old is the daughter of Ashes hero Matthew Hayden.

The blonde bombshell inherited her father’s love for the sport but is also prominent in another scene: horse racing. She secured her big break in 2022 when she appeared as an ambassador for Channel 7’s coverage of Oaks Day.

Hayden then tried her hand at presenting and hasn’t looked back, becoming a fashion reporter for the same broadcaster before turning to cricket and the 2023 Big Bash League. It is not just her punditry skills that have caught the eye, however.

The presenter often takes to social media to showcase her curves and was spotted on Sydney’s iconic Bronte Beach this week, enjoying the sun and sea in a flattering bikini. She was joined by partner Wilson Statham, heir to the Sundown Pastoral cotton empire which is thought to be worth an estimated £230million.

Hayden and Wilson decided to go public with their romance in April 2024 and were spotted at a Sydney pub just a month later. The two could be seen embracing one another in the sea on Sunday before relaxing on the sand.

This year has been a busy one for Hayden. Since emerging onto both the horse racing and cricket spheres she has taken up a range of roles. Hayden received a significant career boost in January when she secured a position as a presenter with the Hong Kong-based Racing X.

Her job involves travelling worldwide to cover various sporting events in places such as Saudi Arabia, New Zealand and Las Vegas. She has also worked alongside her legendary father covering cricket.

Matthew won the Ashes on a handful of occasions and scored over 8000 test runs during an illustrious career. He also holds the second-highest individual score in Test cricket, with 380 against Zimbabwe in 2003. This was only bettered by Brian Lara’s infamous 400 not out a year later.

His daughter heartwarmingly admits that the proudest moment in her budding career so far has been working with her father. She told Beverly: “If I have to pick one moment that stands out, it would be hosting the Border-Gavaskar Series for Star Sports on home soil.

“It wasn’t just the sheer scale of the event, covering one of the greatest rivalries, India versus Australia, for one of the world’s biggest networks. What truly elevated it and made me the most proud was sharing that panel with my Dad.

“To witness that high-stakes, epic cricketing drama while standing beside the person who inspired my love for the game was the ultimate validation. It was a perfect collision of my professional dream and my personal life and a moment I will absolutely never forget.

“On a professional level, it’s an incredible masterclass. Being able to share a space with someone who not only has that deep, intimate knowledge of the game but also experienced success at the highest level is invaluable.

“I get to turn to my side and say, ‘Dad, what did you see there?’ I get the unique perspective of a cricketing great. But beyond the expertise it’s just a joy to share the passion for our great game with the person who first taught it to me.”

Hayden covered the IPL for Star Sports in 2025 as part of what was another major boost to her young career. Her latest appearances are coming at the DP World International League. This cricket competition, held in the United Arab Emirates, is a relatively new professional T20 franchise league and Hayden is one of a host of iconic presenters and commentators who are present in the Middle East.
