Mo Salah in Liverpool coaching as Arne Slot ‘makes Inter Milan squad resolution’

Mohamed Salah took part in Liverpool’s opening training session today.

The 33-year-old Egyptian’s future is under majorly scrutiny after he hit out at Arne Slot in an explosive interview following the Reds’ 3-3 draw at Leeds United on Saturday.

Salah was left as an unused substitute in the clash, the second time in three games he has remained on the bench and the third game in a row he has not been named in the starting line-up.

Mohamed Salah was all smiles in Liverpool training

Liverpool are hosting an open training session ahead of their away Champions League fixture against Inter Milan on Tuesday evening.

It remains to be seen whether Salah will travel to Milan or take any part in the fixture. The match is the penultimate game he is available for before he heads to the AFCON following the Premier League match against Brighton on Saturday.

Salah was filmed arriving at the training ground shortly after 9:30am this morning. The forward was also present at the training ground on Sunday following his outburst at Elland Road.

The unsettled star walked to the training pitch alongside Hugo Ekitike before joining up with the rest of the first-team squad.

However, Salah is not expected to travel with the squad to face Inter. It was reported by Fabrice Hawkins that Slot and the Liverpool board have decided the Egyptian will not feature.

The Athletic have since reported that Salah is expected to be left out of Liverpool’s squad for tomorrow’s game. Although they say no final decision has yet been made.

If Salah is not in the squad, it would underline Liverpool’s backing of Slot, but it would not be a direct punishment after his comments.
