Man United star Ayden Heaven claims ‘no person can cease us’ in the event that they emulate Wolves efficiency as delighted defender units team-mates a lofty goal

Ayden Heaven believes Manchester United can become an unstoppable force if they match the level of performance they showed to blow away Wolves.

Despite an up-and-down first half which ended level at 1-1, United flew out of the blocks in the second half after a rollicking from Ruben Amorim to run out 4-1 winners.

Heaven, who continued to start in the absence of Matthijs de Ligt, feels the standard has been set and if United can repeat each week, their rivals will have a hard time slowing them down.

‘We’ve just got to do what we did today in every game,’ Heaven said.

‘I don’t think anyone can stop us when we play like this.

‘We want to win as many games as possible. Hopefully we can be in Europe next season, which I think we’ll do.’

Minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe made the trip to Molineux and he watched on alongside chief executive Omar Berrada, as well as director of football Jason Wilcox.

Returning to European football – something that has proven a huge miss financially this campaign – is imperative to those in the boardroom.

‘Of course, that’s where I Manchester United belong,’ Heaven said when asked about getting back into Europe this season.

‘I feel like we can just continue how we did today and we’ll be back where we belong.’

It was a show of faith from Amorim to continue with Heaven, not least after he hooked the 19-year-old at half-time in the previous game against West Ham.

But with experience either side of him in Luke Shaw and Noussair Mazraoui, Heaven bounced back impressively on the night, completing every pass (36/36), winning every ground duel (2/2) and every aerial duel (4/4).

‘I’m enjoying it because knowing you have that experience around you, you are not scared to go on the front foot and not scared of what you leave behind either,’ he said.

‘They’re always there when I need them.’

Asked about his own development under Amorim’s watch, he added: ‘I thought I was a good player.

‘I knew that I first had to gain the trust of the manager and slowly I know I’m doing that.

‘Yeah, I feel like I’m doing well at the moment, but I’ve just got to keep working.’
