Alex Jones has given fans a glimpse of her stunning Berkshire home as she prepares for a Christmas in the countryside.

The One Show star, 48, relocated from London with her husband Charlie Thompson and their three children, sons Teddy, eight and Kit, six, and daughter Annie, four, last summer.

Alex explained at the time that the couple wanted to give their children a childhood surrounded by nature and had finally found their dream home after four years of searching.

Now Alex, who is in the middle of renovating her forever home, has showed off the Georgian house after decorating for Christmas.

Sharing a video with her 458,000 Instagram followers, the TV star gave a tour of her family’s two Christmas trees and her beautiful interiors.

Starting at the entrance, the double fronted door has been adorned with two wreaths and a golden bell, leading through to a huge bow decorating the hallway mirror.

Revealing the bow was inspired by her pal Scott Mills, Alex then led viewers through to her three kids’ vast playroom.

Decorated in a deep red colour, the playroom is stuffed with toys, games and books with a large tree, which Alex explained she let the kids have free reign on, taking pride of place.

Alex then revealed another tree at the end of the hallway, which she had decorated.

She mused how she was going to go foraging in the countryside on her doorstep to find some more foliage to fill her stunning home.

Last year the television presenter explained that the family had made the ‘big decision’ to leave London and move somewhere closer to nature.

Alex – who has been a regular host on The One Show since 2010 – admitted it was an ’emotional’ time for her as she prepared to leave her former home of 11 years.

‘We made it and are completely delighted with the new house,’ she wrote in an Instagram post. ‘Thank you so much for all your messages of support over the last few weeks.’

‘We are obviously living in complete chaos but it already feels like home.’

‘It was a big decision to leave West London where we have been very happy for 14 years but we wanted the children to have space to play outside and to grow up in nature.

‘It took nearly 4 years of searching to find the “one”.

‘Somewhere where the children could appreciate nature but yet close enough to London for me to get to work and we have.’

‘It feels like she was waiting for us to find her. We feel very lucky ❤️’

There’s lots of work still to do on the house.

Alex previously explained how she wanted to ‘redo the layout,’ before adding ‘It’s going to take years probably, because there’s lots to do… And eventually we want to kind of remodel the garden as well.’

‘An antique fridge, a heated cupboard with a TIMER for tea towels… my new (or should I say old??) kitchen it has it all.’

‘It is actually older than me – it was put in in 1975 and has really been looked after,’ she said, adding that whilst she was looking forward to renovating the room, she had grown ‘very fond of this retro kitchen. Our very own time machine’.
