Dramatic second thief sprays hearth extinguisher at police throughout high-speed chase

This is the dramatic moment a car thief tried to evade police by spraying a fire extinguisher during a high-speed chase.

Officers were called after a vehicle was stolen from outside a home in Birmingham’s Hodge Hill area on October 29.

Passenger Shea McCallion, 19, was caught on camera releasing the extinguisher during the 75mph pursuit before hurling it out of the window, damaging a police car.

McCallion was later arrested and admitted theft and aiding and abetting dangerous driving. He received a 12-month sentence, suspended for 18 months, at Birmingham Crown Court.
