Jim Ward – best known for his voice work on Nickelodeon’s The Fairly OddParents has died at 66.
The beloved actor was the voice behind several iconic cartoon and video game characters through his storied career.
The sad news that he had passed away Wednesday at 10:45am due to complications from advanced Alzheimer’s was confirmed by Ward’s wife Janice to TMZ on Thursday.
She also revealed that he was being treated at Silverado Beverly Place Memory Care at the time of his passing.
His two most well-known roles were as the characters Doug Dimmadome and Chet Ubetcha on the aforementioned The Fairly OddParents.
Dimmadome is the co-owner of fictional city Dimmadelphia and founder of the complex Dimmsdale Dimmadome.

Ubetcha was the news reporter for Dimmsdale’s television news broadcast, Channel 7 News.
He not only lent his voice to cartoon characters but also iconic video games including 2005 survival game Resident Evil 4.
He portrayed Jack Krauser who was an agent for the 3rd Organization during the War on Terror and reprised the role in both Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles (2009) and Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D (2011).
Ward was a mainstay on one of the most iconic video game series ever, Call Of Duty, as he even starred in the original one released in 2003 and sequels United Offensive (2004), Modern Warfare 2 (2009), Black Ops III (2015), and WWII (2017).

He was a pioneer in the space as his first role was over 30 years ago in 1993’s Spider-Man vs. The Kingpin
His final role was in 2024 video game The Thing: Remastered which was set after the events of the 1982 John Carpenter movie of the same name.
