Georgia football stars Dontrell Glover and Bo Walker were arrested for shoplifting on Friday – just weeks before the team’s playoff campaign begins.
Glover, a starting freshman offensive lineman for the Bulldogs, and running back Walker were detained by cops after 5:30pm ET on misdemeanor charges of shoplifting, Athens-Clarke County arrest records show.
The pair, who helped Georgia win the SEC Championship less than a week ago, were then released just before 8pm on respective $1,526 bonds.
Further details surrounding what led to their arrests are yet to be released. Daily Mail has contacted the Athens-Clarke County Police Department for more information.
‘We were informed of the charges and are currently in the process of gathering additional information,’ Georgia spokesman Steve Drummond reportedly told ESPN’s Dan Murphy.
‘This is a pending legal matter and we will not have further comment at this time.’

It is currently unclear if the two players will be available for the playoffs or not, with the third-seeded Bulldogs (12-1) set to face the winner of the No 6 Ole Miss vs No 11 Tulane matchup on January 1.
Fairburn native Glover, who recently earned SEC All-Freshman honors, is the team’s starting right guard, while Walker, who is from Ellenwood, has appeared in six games as a reserve.
Their arrest for shoplifting is not the first legal issue head coach Kirby Smart has had to deal with of late, nevertheless.
Last month it was revealed that backup Bulldogs offensive lineman Nyier Daniels is facing two felony counts of second-degree cruelty to children and a felony count of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, after allegedly trying to escape cops at 100mph with his younger siblings in his BMW.
The 6ft 8in, 345-pound Daniels was additionally charged with 10 traffic-related misdemeanors, such as reckless driving, before he was ultimately dismissed by Smart.
‘(I) have not had a chance to talk to him or his family, but obviously he will no longer be with us,’ Smart told ESPN last month.
