Former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan was locked in a restaurant in Bondi during a mass shooting on Bondi Beach, with at least 12 people pronounced dead
Michael Vaughan has revealed the frightening ordeal he endured after being trapped inside a Bondi restaurant during an active shooting incident on Bondi Beach. At least 12 people have been confirmed dead following an attack by two gunmen who targeted a Jewish Hanukkah celebration on Sydney’s renowned beach.
The gunshots rang out at approximately 6:50pm local time, with one attacker killed and the other now in police custody. As the aftermath of the incident unfolds and police continue their investigation of the scene, witnesses have shared harrowing accounts of their experiences.
Former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan was amongst those caught up in the chaos, taking to social media to confirm his safety. He posted on X: “Being locked in a restaurant in Bondi was scary..
“Now home safe.. but thanks so much to the emergency services and the guy who confronted the terrorist .. thoughts with all who have been affected .. xxx”, reports the Mirror.
