It’s that time of year where I’m hurriedly writing my Christmas list in hopes I’ve been good enough for Santa to leave some goodies.

Although, I have been a bit rebellious this year. Good job I’ve found a relatively new fragrance that favours those with a bit of a naughty soul.

Subversive Scents. You might not have heard of them – and neither did I until they came on my radar with a press release that landed in my inbox not too long ago.

However, you’ll most definitely have heard of the iconic celebrity name behind the new genderless fragrances to shake up the scent industry.

The Rolling Stones’ Subversive Scents boasts five fragrances that have been dubbed by the band as “the perfect fragrance collection for those who dare to be different.” They added: “We hope it inspires some rebellious souls.”

I’m not a fan of smelling like everyone else and love when people ask ‘what perfume is that’ as they take a little whiff. And that’s already happened since I’ve been wearing ‘Sticky Fingers’ for the last couple of weeks.

The scent named after the 1971 album is perfect for those who were in their heyday back then, or for Gen Z types like me who consider themselves born into the wrong generation.

Notes of bourbon vanilla, whisky, sandalwood and patchouli make Sticky Fingers a fragrance that transforms you into effortlessly cool in one spritz.

If you’re bored and have outgrown the hyperfeminine sweet flavours of popular perfumes, this is a spicy and creamy antidote to that. And for men, it’s a fragrance that will get you taken seriously and award you some well-deserved style points. Put the Lynx set and Joop down.

Sticky Fingers is easily my favourite out of the five fragrances and it’s currently reigning triumphant on my scent rotation.

If you’re not wanting to take my word for it, then Subversive Scents offer a Discovery Set that includes miniature versions of: (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction, Wild Horses, Urban Jungle, Paint It Black and Sticky Fingers.

Fragrances are difficult to get right whether that be for yourself or as a gift, so why not go for a curated pick & mix? The Rolling Stones fan or not, the cinnamon and tobacco infused scents will indeed bring you satisfaction.
