Greater Manchester Police have taped off a street close to a school, and pupils have been told to stay away – officers are currently in attendance
An incident near a school in Bury has seen police rush to the scene this morning (December 17). A street close to a school has been cordoned off by Greater Manchester Police, and students have been advised to stay clear. Officers are currently stationed on Cecil Street.
The cordon is in place near Holy Trinity Primary School. According to the Manchester Evening News, parents have been informed that the school will remain shut this morning while the police handle the situation.
The specifics of the incident are still unclear. It’s known that police were present in the area on Tuesday night.

Cecil Street, which is located behind Bury Market car park and runs between Lord Street and Bury College University Centre, is also near St Marie’s RC Primary School. It’s not yet confirmed whether this school is affected by the incident
