Andrew Tate prepares to face Chase DeMoor in his boxing debut for Misfits and the controversial fighter is no stranger to upsetting people with outrageous remarks

Divisive online figure Andrew Tate is grabbing headlines once more this week as he gears up to take on Chase DeMoor in his fighting comeback.

The former world champion kickboxer had considerable fighting credentials before his notoriety exploded, giving him substantial background in combat disciplines. The self-described misogynist has faced widespread condemnation for his extreme views about women and general inflammatory rhetoric.

Tate has cultivated a devoted online following over recent years by broadcasting his controversial perspectives across various subjects on social media. Among his lengthy catalogue of reprehensible remarks about women, Tate grabbed attention earlier this year after launching an attack against Ariana Grande, the pop sensation currently starring in the Wicked movies.

At the time, Tate had been barred from most major social media networks, with X, under Elon Musk’s ownership, being a notable exception.

Writing on the platform, he declared: “I’m sorry Ariana Grande you’re too skinny and I would no longer f*** you. Access denied.”

He additionally claimed she “looks like a crack h**”.

His appalling remarks about the 32-year-old triggered fury amongst users on the platform, who hit back at Tate.

“Why do men think it’s ok to comment on women’s bodies?,” questioned one user.

Another responded: “This is the most disrespectful and disgusting tweet I’ve seen today. How the f*** are people like this still on this app? Absolutely ridiculous.

“Dude, you are gross,” one user commented, while another chimed in: “She’s more famous than you, has more money, more success, has an amazing reputation, and hasn’t been to jail.”

The criticism didn’t end there. One person quipped: “Imagine thinking you had the access to deny in the first place. Ariana Grande wasn’t at the door, mate, she was on a private jet flying over it.”

Often seen as a controversial figure, Tate is stepping into the global spotlight in the boxing ring against a rival who boasts far more experience in the sport.

DeMoor has already stepped into the ring seven times this year and has a total of 14 fights under his belt. The bout, part of a Misfits event, will take place in Dubai and will consist of six three-minute rounds.

Knock-outs are allowed and the outcome will be recorded on the fighters’ professional records.

This fight follows shortly after Tate was appointed CEO of Misfits, replacing YouTube star KSI. Promoter Mams Taylor claimed that KSI was nearly causing the company to flounder due to his absence and needed to be replaced.

Tate and his brother Tristan are currently facing charges of human trafficking, including trafficking of minors, in Romania, while Andrew is dealing with rape allegations. They both strongly deny all charges against them.
