The former Duchess of York appears in several photos in the newly released Epstein files after having been stripped of her title due to her and Andrew’s friendship with the disgraced financier
Sarah Ferguson has featured in photographs released in the new batch of documents relating to the Jeffrey Epstein case.
The former Duchess of York appears in images that were among the thousands of documents that were published by the US Department of Justice on Friday, December 19.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s ex-wife is seen in the images posing with someone on the street and talking to a woman while sat on a couch. In both of these images the identity of the other person has been concealed.
Ferguson is seen to be wearing the same long purple coat and a black dress. Even though the former duchess is seen to be in the same outfit it is not clear if these photographs are from the same day.
The pictures Ferguson features in do not show any wrongdoing and being photographed or named in the files does not indicate any wrongdoing. The pictures have been shared without context and there is no indication as to when the pictures were taken.
The release of the images comes a month after King Charles officially stripped Andrew of his royal title and removed his dukedom from the Roll of the Peerage. The former duke has also been forced to give up his Windsor home, Royal Lodge. Ferguson also lost her title after the pair came under scrutiny over their relationship with Epstein.
She has been dropped as an ambassador for numerous charities. New pictures of Andrew have also been released in the latest files. One image includes the former Prince smiling and laying down over a group of woman with Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell looking on.
Andrew has and continues to “vigorously deny” accusations made against him. In an earlier statement he said that the “accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family” before he was stripped of his royal titles, styles and honours by King Charles.
The US Department of Justice have not yet released all the files and are legally obligated to do so before midnight on December 19 after the passing of the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
