Liverpool concern Alexander Isak suffered ‘important’ leg damage towards Tottenham

Liverpool fear that Alexander Isak has suffered a ‘significant’ leg injury.

The British transfer record was injured while scoring in the 56th minute against Tottenham in the Premier League clash on Saturday.

Isak was brought down awkwardly by a sliding challenge from Micky van de Ven and was unable to celebrate. The Swede received treatment and was helped off the pitch by two members of Liverpool’s medical staff.

Isak is yet to undergo an MRI scan which will reveal the full extent of the injury. But Liverpool are reportedly concerned about the severity of the damage to the forward’s leg.
