‘The Premier League’s hottest WAG’ is set to make her return to Old Trafford
It was during Maja Lindelof’s time in Manchester that she was handed the title of being ‘The Premier League’s hottest WAG’.
The wife of ex-Manchester United star Victor, businesswoman Maja regularly set tongues wagging during her eight-year stay at Old Trafford alongside her husband.
Despite her lengthy stay in the Premier League, which began in 2017 when the Red Devils forked out £31million to buy the Sweden international from Benfica, it was only in 2023 that she first became known by the famous moniker.
The Artificial intelligence app AttractivenessTest.com said that Maja possesses an attractiveness ranking of 9.7/10. Despite being awarded the honour, she once admitted in her blog that she despises being know as a ‘WAG’.
“I am so sick and tired of people trying to make me smaller,” she wrote. “Tired of people not knowing what’s important in life. I am an entrepreneur. I have my own company and soon I will start one more. If that is with money or love is none of your business.”
The owner of fashion retailer, lisbonneatelier, Maja has carved a successful career for herself and earlier this year relocated from Manchester to the Midlands when her husband signed for Aston Villa.
After Lindelof weighed up options in the summer, it was Villa who won the race for the 31-year-old. He admitted his delight in on deadline day, telling Villa TV: “Obviously it’s massive club, and I was super excited when I heard that the club wanted me.
“I spoke to my wife and we felt it was a good move for us as a family and for me as a player. I’m super, super happy and proud to be part of this football club.” Lindelof is likely to feature in Villa’s home clash against Man United on Sunday afternoon in what will be his first time facing his former club since his summer departure.
Having started his first league game of the season last weekend in their 3-2 win over West Ham, his past association with United could prove decisive, according to Villa manager Unai Emery.
