Those looking to give the gift of music this Christmas, or treat themselves to a massive library of lossless audio, could be in luck with Amazon this season. From now until the start of January, Prime and non Prime members alike can claim this great value offer.

Until the 9th of January, new subscribers and Prime users can claim Amazon Music Unlimited for free for the next four months. After the four months, renewal will cost £10.99 per month for Prime members, and £11.99 for non-Prime members.

With 100 million songs in a high quality, lossless format, shoppers can choose to listen to their music in high or ultra high definitions. There’s also options available for Dolby Atmos and Sony 360 offering an immersive, surround sound experience.

All music playback is ad free with Amazon Music Unlimited, so shoppers can pick their music and listen without interruption. With lots of options for podcasts and audiobooks too, shoppers will receive one free audiobook per month with included access to Audible.

It’s compatible with smartphones, tablets, PCs, Fire TV and Amazon Echo, with ready made, specially curated playlists so shoppers can jump into a listening experience straight away. There’s a variety of music player widgets available for devices too, so shoppers can control their music from an app or with their Alexa, hands free.

Alternatively, shoppers in Apple’s ecosystem could look at Apple Music, which currently has a variety of deals on offer. The normal price per month is £10.99, there’s a host of unique features too, like Siri integration, exclusive content with podcasts and radio or great playback quality over a huge library of 100 million plus songs.

Shoppers could also check out Tidal, currently priced at £5.49 per month for students, and £10.99 per month for normal accounts. With the unique feature of super high quality audio with FLAC files and Dolby Atmos support, it offers ad-free, offline listening with options for personalized mixes or curated playlists.

Back to Amazon Music Unlimited’s offer, shoppers on Amazon.com’s Trustpilot loved the Amazon Music service. One shopper, as part of a longer review, said: “They also have so many other services that I use quite a lot. Amazon Music is AMAZING!”

Another shopper, who received Amazon Music with a subscription of Prime, said as part of a larger review: “Amazon Prime has been a game-changer! Another shopper, who received Amazon Music as part of their Prime subscription said: “I have Prime and it’s been great so far. Just wish the other Prime benefits were more useful. Not too many great selections when it comes to music and movies for streaming.”

However, most were happy, as one said: “As a Prime member, my shipments come quickly and intact. Prime Video is amazing – and so Prime Music (used with my Echo Dot). It’s more than convenient and extremely time saving. I can’t say enough good things about this service.”
