A Benidorm bar owner at the centre of a row over a €37 a head Christmas Dinner has hit back at his “haters” – and joked “I won’t be crying in me Lambo.”

Frank Kennedy, the self-styled “King of Benidorm” known as Frank “the Stag Man”, faced a social media backlash after disappointed diners at his newly opened Stag Man Steakhouse shared photos of their paltry plates on Christmas Day.

Pictures showing a handful of veg with a single Yorkshire Pudding, a flat dollop of creamy mash and a thin slice of beef sparked criticism online.

But Frank hit back in a series of videos and posts. And he replied to one comment on Facebook asking if the criticism hurt by quipping: “Not at all. I won’t be crying in me Lambo, Ferrari or M6.”

Frank – who lives in the Costa Blanca resort with legendary stag do performer girlfriend Jade Benidorm – was on hand to help serve up the Christmas dinners in his bar and insisted nobody complained to his face.

He addressed the row in a series of posts on social media and insisted the photo one of his unhappy customers put on Facebook “definitely wasn’t on their plate”.

But other diners shared similar pictures and social media users pointed out they were very similar to posts he himself had shared from the day.

And in a video posted on Saturday, Frank wrote: “Just a few reason why the jealousy types hate on STAGMAN. Happy new year all. ALL YOU WINNERS OUT THERE KEEP WINNING AND DONT LOOK BACK.”

In the video, Frank panned to his hi vis supercar, which he is often seen driving around town in, as well as his fleet of other fancy motors. He said: “We’ve got the fire blade over there, we’ve got the Harley here, we’ve got the Lambo and the Ferrari.”

He then showed off his customised BMW covered in Hulk livery. He said to the camera: “To all my haters, all you jealous types out there. It is what it is. You can say what you like, you can be as jealous as what you like. Just get on with your lives.”

One social media user said: “People ain’t hating because they’re jealous.. their hating because you can’t see how bad those dinners looked and wasn’t just one person there was multiple people. Doesn’t matter if they waited till you left.

“You let them meals be served and thought they was passable let alone edible compared to other places. No one cares about your wealth and possessions.

“You claim to be about the people yet the second someone gives feedback you bring up cash or block them. Had you down as being better than this frank used to enjoy your videos now you just brag.”

We previously reported how Brits in the holiday hotspot hoping for a slap up festive feast were left devastated by their dismal dinner plates.

Around 220 people were said to have booked for the set menu, which Frank had advertised on his social media heavily in the run up to December 25.

One woman who had booked in fumed: “Food missing, table forgotten about, gravy like jelly, Yorkshire pudding hadn’t even been in oven we don’t think, silly man to think he can take this many people for Xmas dinner, it should have been capped. I’m now siting in a bar eating a toastie for my Christmas dinner.”

Frank, who owns a number of bars, made his name in the famed stag and hen circuit in Benidorm offering tailor made packages and also runs his own travel agency and often poses with holiday makers his hi-vis supercar.

He has amassed hundreds of thousands of followers on TikTok, where he regularly posts insights into his life in the town and even claimed to have been the brains behind Benidorm’s “growth”.

He previously told us: “And what I want to say, without sounding like I’m being arrogant, is that that’s a big part of what I believe that I’ve contributed to Benidorm. The numbers I’ve been moving over the years and the positivity, it’s just gone crazy.”
