- Comes after Australia lost Boxing Day Test with no player reaching 50
New Aussie opener Jake Weatherald has poked fun at his own performance in the fourth Ashes Test at the MCG with a cheeky post on Instagram.
The 31-year-old made his debut at the start of the ongoing series, and has so far scored 146 runs at an average of 20.85 with a high score of 72.
Since the second Test when he made the classy knock, he has struggled for form and failed to reach 20 in his last five Test innings.
But despite the tough run, he’s found a way to laugh through the struggles with a funny social media post.
He paired a few photos of him signing autographs with the caption ‘POV: signed more autographs than runs this match,’ after making returns of 10 and 5 with the bat.
England won their first Test on Aussie soil in almost 15 years at the Boxing Day Test.
