Omaze Monthly Millionaire winner Nikita Muse, 35, had been on her route to after-work drinks when she received a call from the competition firm to say she had won £1 million tax-free
A fortunate mum who ditched a pub trip after becoming an instant Omaze millionaire told her mate – “next time the drinks are on me. ” Nikita Muse, 35, is the latest lucky punter to win the Omaze Monthly Millionaire Draw, bagging the life-altering tax-free prize – all for just £15.
When Omaze turned up at her home in Chippenham, Wilts. , Nikita was left utterly gobsmacked. She had been about to head out for post-work drinks with a friend and swiftly rang to reschedule. However, she declared that the ‘drinks are on me’ for their next meet-up thanks to her financial windfall.
Nikita shared: “I was just wrapping up work when I got a call from Omaze to say I’d won something. I phoned my husband straight away and he insisted there was no way it was legit and that I should just ignore it. But I double-checked everything and it all seemed pretty genuine to me. Then it was basically knock knock – who’s there? A million quid!
“Our neighbours didn’t even twig what was happening; one said afterwards she thought it was just a massive Amazon delivery. I was actually en route to meet a friend for a drink after work, so I rang her to say I had to cancel because Omaze had rocked up at my house to tell me I’d won a million pounds. She exclaimed, ‘Are you f***** joking? !’
“I assured her it would be worth the delay – and that drinks were definitely on me when we do catch up! I’m not a big drinker, but we did pop open a bottle of champagne to celebrate at home.”
Nikita, who works as a finance manager resides with her husband David, 39, a retail production manager. The couple are parents to four children, aged eight, nine, ten and eleven.
She shared: “The night I found out, it was absolutely freezing outside, but I wasn’t cold at all. All I felt was excitement about what had just happened and what it meant for our future.
“It was such a crazy moment. You never think it’s actually going to happen, but the money is in my account now – I’ll never forget seeing all those zeros appear!”
“Winning a million pounds really takes the pressure off us. We’ll be able to treat the kids – I mean, if you can’t treat them after winning a million, when can you? We can’t wait to go on some amazing holidays; making those kinds of family memories is priceless.
“We just celebrated our first wedding anniversary a couple of days ago in style – the budget definitely went up for that.
“We got married in New York last year and it was so expensive that we never thought we’d be able to go back, but now we can, especially with my husband turning 40 next year.
“We’d also love to take the kids to Disneyland Florida. “Nikita revealed plans to replace her 14 year old Nissan Qashqai that’s clocked over 100,000 miles and to “chip away” at their mortgage.
She added: “We might even buy a second property as an investment that we can rent out as a supplementary income as well. This win has given us so many fantastic options.
“I’d already bought all the kids’ Christmas presents, but their st The stockings were certainly a bit fuller this year! The entire family is absolutely overjoyed. “This is going to be an incredible New Year’s Eve for us. What a fantastic way to bid farewell to the year and welcome the next one, knowing our children’s futures are so secure.”
