Tyson Fury fires elegant message to Anthony Joshua as crash places £100m mega combat doubtful

Tyson Fury has expressed his sadness in the aftermath of a fatal car crash in Nigeria that injured Anthony Joshua and killed two of his team members.

Joshua’s coaches and close friends Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami died at the scene. Fury shared a post on Instagram about their deaths, and said: ”This is so sad. May God give them a good bed in heaven.”

Fury’s father, John, has also said in a video uploaded on the same social media platform: “AJ, you’ve got a guardian angel, my friend. God had his arms wrapped around you then. Condolences to the deceased. So terrible.”

Matchroom Boxing and 258 BXG have confirmed Joshua “sustained injuries in the accident and was taken to hospital for checks and treatment”. They added: “He is in a stable condition and will remain there for observation.”
