Heartbreak in Bristol as police searching for missing woman, have found a body, while formal identification is pending, her family has been informed and police say the death is not suspicious
Tragedy has struck after police searching for a missing 46-year-old have discovered a body. While formal identification is pending, officers have informed her family and confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious.
Judith, 46, was reportedly last seen leaving her home in the Henleaze area of Bristol at around 4.45pm on Wednesday (January 1). A body has since been reportedly found in the hunt for the missing woman.
Judith was further spotted in a Waitrose store on the same day she had been last seen, according to reports. At the time, she was reportedly wearing a grey, woolly winter coat.
Avon and Somerset Police launched a search for the missing woman following her disappearance, The Sun reported. Sadly, police confirmed on Friday (January 2), that a body had been found.
A statement informed: “A body has been found in the search for missing Judith, 46, from Bristol. While formal identification is yet to take places, detectives have met with Judith’s family to update them.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious. Our thoughts are with them at this time.”
In an earlier appeal, officers said they were growing “concerned” for Judith’s welfare, as per The Sun. She was reportedly described as white, 5ft 3ins tall, with long brown hair and occasionally wears glasses.

Among the confirmed dead is 17-year-old Italian golfer Emanuele Galeppini, while FC Metz footballer Tahirys Dos Santos remains in hospital with severe burns.
The tragedy has left families in shock and prompted heartfelt condolences from figures including King Charles III, as authorities and loved ones grapple with the aftermath of one of Switzerland’s deadliest fires.
