Luke Littler’s girlfriend Faith Millar was in attendance at Ally Pally on Saturday to cheer on and celebrate her boyfriend becoming a back-to-back world champion after beating Gian van Veen in the final.
Luke Littler is the new back-to-back World Darts Championship, after beating Gian van Veen 7-1 in a remarkable final performance at Ally Pally.
The 18-year-old world champion and current world number one has once again dominated the competition this year, sailing through the first three rounds in straight sets before triumphing over Rob Cross, Krzysztof Ratajski and Ryan Searle before taking down the Dutchman.
Littler was cheered on by his supportive girlfriend Faith Millar as they shared a kiss on the stage and while holding the trophy after he landed the £1million winners’ jackpot.
The 19-year-old beautician from Wigan has been a familiar face at major tournaments, supporting her boyfriend since they made their relationship public in May last year, after months of insisting they were merely friends.
She was spotted in the crowd on Friday night as her beau bested Searle in the semi-finals, and was seen posing for photos with notable figures such as singer Lewis Capaldi, I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! winner Angry Ginge, and Sidemen members Harry Lewis and Ethan Payne.
Millar also shared a pre-match kiss with Littler as he took to the stage for the final clash, a ritual that has become somewhat of a tradition for the young darts prodigy.
After making their romance public, ‘The Nuke’ heaped praise on his girlfriend as she accompanied him Down Under to back him at the Australian Darts Masters.
“She’s a lovely lady, Faith,” Littler remarked. “I think it’s sort of what I needed. I knew my mum and dad weren’t going to come. And as soon as I asked the question, she was like, ‘Yeah, I don’t think I’ll ever get the chance’. So, I said, ‘You can come with me.'”.
Yet, having emerged as one of sport’s most recognisable figures following his meteoric ascent to the pinnacle of world darts, the teenager confessed he felt compelled to warn Millar about the scrutiny and harassment she would probably face as his girlfriend.
Acknowledging that the hate the pair had endured from online trolls had “been tough”, Littler revealed: “Obviously, at the start of last year, I was always looking at the comments. And she’s been having a look [at the] negativity.
“But I just said, ‘They’re jealous. They wanna ruin us.’ I just said, ‘Just don’t look at it and just focus on what we’ve got’.”
Littler has found himself in comparable circumstances previously, as his former partner Eloise Milburn was subjected to “vile” and “disgusting” abuse, primarily because she was five years his senior when he was just 16 years old. At the time, he called for the online bullies to stop.
He had to intervene once more when Milburn was subjected to further harassment after their break up in July 2024. This occurred even though it was Littler who called it quits, ending things through a text message in what was labelled as a “brutal” move that allegedly “came out of the blue”, leaving his former partner heartbroken.
