A major police presence remains at the scene of a shooting in Bexleyheath following the early hours incident on Sunday – two people have been rushed to hospital
Two people have been rushed to hospital following a shooting in Bexleyheath. Police responded to reports of a shooting on Broadway at approximately 2.10am this morning (January 4).
Paramedics attended to two individuals before transporting them to hospital. Following the incident, the A207 Albion Road continues to be shut in both directions between the A221 Broadway and Oaklands car park, reports MyLondon.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 2.10am today (4 January) to reports of a shooting on Broadway, Bexleyheath.
“We sent resources to the scene including ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response cars and an incident response officer. We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance. We treated two people and took them to hospital.”
Metropolitan Police have been asked for information.
