Double automobile crash leaves two lifeless and one in hospital as police problem assertion

A tragic car accident near the town of Sittingbourne in Kent has claimed two lives. The South East Coast Ambulance Service alerted police to an incident on Old Ferry Road at approximately 8.30pm on Saturday (January 3).

Police officers, paramedics and the Kent Fire and Rescue Service all rushed to the scene, with road closures put in place between the junctions with Raspberry Hill Lane and Sheppey Way, near Iwade, to facilitate rescue operations.

Tragically, two individuals travelling in a blue Ford Fiesta were pronounced dead at the scene, while a third was transported to a local hospital for medical attention.

The road remained closed on Sunday (January 4) as investigations into the fatal incident continued.

A spokesperson for Kent Police stated: “Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time, or who may have relevant dashcam or CCTV footage, to contact Kent Police.”, reports Kent Live.
