Boozed up England fans won’t be allowed into the stadium for the World Cup 2026 opener against Croatia – and they’ll be banned from taking selfie sticks too

Supporters taking the trip across the pond have been warned off from bringing the mobile phone, photo-taking gadget to the match as it has been listed as a ‘prohibited’ item at the opening venue.

And they’ve also been told if they appear “inebriated and unmanageable” then they won’t be allowed in.

Thomas Tuchel’s men will be down south in the US for their first group match game against the 2018 World Cup finalists.

The AT&T stadium in Arlington, Dallas, Texas, will host England’s first match on June 17 next year.

The home ground of the Dallas Cowboys has a long list of banned items and behaviours at the venue – in line with NFL rules.

Its list states that “tripods, monopods and selfie-sticks” are prohibited.

Fans who ignore this ruling may be refused entry to the Three Lions first game in Group L.

The draw made last December will see Harry Kane and teammates also play against Ghana and Panama.

The first two matches against Croatia and Ghana will be kicking off at 9pm while Panama will start at 10pm.

The AT&T Stadium website reads: “In conjunction with the National Football League and for the safety of our guests and employees, the following are prohibited.

“Tripods, monopods and selfie-sticks. Guests who appear to be inebriated and unmanageable will not be permitted admittance into the stadium.”
