The Traitors‘ Fiona Hughes left Reece Ward gobsmacked as they met face-to-face after another tense episode on Friday.

It was revealed to Reece, 27, that Fiona, 62, was a Traitor during the show’s Unlocked spin-off on BBC Two as the pair came face-to-face after both exiting the show.

During Friday’s episode, just hours after Fiona called her rival, Rachel Duffy, out for being a Traitor in front of the rest of the cast, she was banished.

Earlier in the episode, Reece was brutally murdered following an emotional few days, with the Traitors branding it a ‘mercy killing’.

But as the duo reunited off-screen, Reece was left in utter disbelief as they enjoyed a chat before revealing their traitor suspicions.

Reece, who up until this point did not know who the Traitors were, guessed Jack, Ellie and Rachel.

And when asked by Fiona about what he thought of her status, Reece revealed that he thought she was a Faithful.

But the Welsh local government advisor left him shocked when she finally admitted, ‘I am a Traitor’, to which Reece exclaimed, ‘No, you’re not!’, as he raised his hands to his head.

‘You said about Hugo – you stabbed Hugo in the back’, he reflected as he later confessed to having no game plan, as he recalled his time on the show.

After being banished, Fiona, a local government worker from Swansea, told her contestants: ‘I came in here to prove women of a certain age should be listened to, and I feel I have been listened to.

‘Thank you all for being wonderful people. I’ll never forget you.

‘You may be very surprised to hear that I am a Traitor!’

On Thursday’s episode, the programme’s 7.3 million viewers were left stunned when Fiona believed that Rachel, 42, was lying about Amanda Collier’s secret that she was a former senior police detective in the Metropolitan Police.

Fiona later called her out for being a Traitor in front of their fellow players, which left the rest of the cast in shock.

Fiona tried to defend herself, claiming she is ‘not a liar’, while Rachel hit back, saying: ‘Fiona, when you tell a lie, you are a liar.’

Ultimately, the majority of the group sided with Rachel and voted for Fiona to leave, including fellow Traitor Stephen.

Stephen broke down in tears following his betrayal and told the camera, ‘Having to use her like that is just part of the game, isn’t it?’

A triumphant Rachel added, ‘I won the battle, but I need to win the war.’
