The NYPD’s Internal Affairs Bureau has opened an investigation into a newly-hired Queens police officer over explicit images she posted to an OnlyFans account, according to sources.
The officer, Dannah Battino, is assigned to the 110th Precinct in Elmhurst and joined the department in April 2025. Officials said she could face termination for indecent exposure.
Battino appears in numerous explicit photos on the subscription-based platform, including images in which she is nude and engaged in sexual activity with an unidentified woman, according to law enforcement sources familiar with the matter. Other photos show her posing suggestively, including images where she positions herself close to the camera.

“She should be immediately terminated from this job,” said a disgusted NYPD source. “There’s no place in this department for that. We are paramilitary and we have to have some kind of standard to be a police officer.”
Battino, 28, is currently serving the standard two-year probationary period required of new officers. Before joining the NYPD, she worked as an emergency medical technician with the FDNY, sources said.
“She needs to get out of the department,” another NYPD source said. “She shouldn’t be on the job.”
Police sources said Battino recently deactivated her OnlyFans account, which operated under the names gainswbattino and thatcoupleaftermidnight, after images began circulating among fellow officers. Battino is described as heavily tattooed, with dark hair and a belly ring.
A source familiar with the case said the account was created before Battino became a police officer, though it remains unclear when her most recent post was made.
OnlyFans allows users to earn income through paid subscriptions, live interactions and tips, and some creators reportedly generate thousands of dollars per week. The starting salary for an NYPD police officer is $60,884.
Applicants to the department are required to disclose all sources of income during the hiring process, a retired high-ranking law enforcement source said. How much Battino earned through the platform is not known.
“Failure to disclose all ways that you made money could be sufficient reason to terminate,” the source said. “I would be shocked if she made zero money.”

The case has also raised questions among critics about whether the content should have been flagged during the NYPD’s background investigation, which includes a review of social media activity.
“If we can find it, why didn’t the investigators find it?” the first police source asked. “She shouldn’t have gotten through. She should have been disqualified just for that.”
As a probationary officer, Battino can be dismissed for conduct unbecoming an officer, sources noted. The police union defended Battino, emphasising that the activity was not illegal.
Police Benevolent Association President Patrick Hendry said: “If she did not do anything illegal or anything that impacts her ability to perform her duties, then it’s nobody’s business but her own. “It’s shameful that her personal information is being dumped out into public view.”
A similar case occurred in Detroit in 2022, when a rookie officer was investigated over pornographic content posted on OnlyFans. She was suspended and later resigned.
An NYPD spokeswoman confirmed that the officer’s conduct is “under internal review”. Battino could not be reached for comment.
