Police searching for a missing university student in Lincoln have sadly recovered a body from water.
Student Connor Calleja, 20, disappeared after being denied entry to Home nightclub in Lincoln in the early hours of Sunday (January 11).
He last known movements saw him walking close to the University Bridge that overlooks the campus at the river Brayford.
Today (January 13), Lincolnshire Police have confirmed that a body had been found in The Brayford harbour.
A spokesperson said: “While formal identification has yet to take place, we believe this to be the body of 20-year-old Connor.”
“His family have been made aware and are being supported by specially trained officers. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

“We ask the public and members of the media to respect the family’s privacy at this very difficult time.”
His family had been appealing for help in finding Connor after he was reportedly making his way back after being denied entry to a nightclub.
Connor was reportedly seen on CCTV making his way to Court 1 in the hall of residences on the University of Lincoln’s campus.

In a Facebook post, Connor’s stepfather John Lewis said the student had been making his way back to his accommodation.
He wrote: “Please don’t give up on him, just keep looking for him and if anybody knows anything, it doesn’t matter how small, please report it to the police.”
His parents also spoke to the BBC and said: “We are worried sick and would like as much media presence as possible to locate him.”
