Donkey’s Place in Camden, New Jersey, US, has launched an online plea for the safe return of a giant walrus penis they have kept behind the bar for decades after drinkers nicked it
The bone of a large walrus penis has been stolen from a restaurant – as the devastated owner issued a plea for its safe return. The walrus willy was considered a conversation piece at the cheesesteak diner.
Owner Rob Lucas Jr. kept an antique walrus baculum – a bone in the member of many male mammals – behind the bar for decades. The knob sat alongside a megalodon tooth and several other artefacts.
But it was stolen from cheesesteak restaurant Donkey’s Place in Camden, New Jersey, US, on December 30. Three men, who spent the afternoon drinking beer at the establishment, made off with it, it is claimed.
One of the men asked about the bone and, as is common, worker Mia Panella allowed them to inspect it and guess what it was before revealing the answer. But while her back was turned, the group left with the large phallic bone.
According to Mia, they said they were from Ohio and were in town for the HiJinx Festival. Rob said: “The bartender handed it out for them to figure out what it was.
“She went to the back to do something else and then one dude stole it. We got his picture, but I don’t think he’s from around town.”
The restaurant issued an online plea for the bone’s return on TikTok. They included images of the alleged thief.
Mia said she hopes the clip will go viral and help lead to the willy’s return. In the video, she said: “I wasn’t thinking that they would do something like this.
“If the person that stole it is watching this, please bring it back. Not the same without it.”
Rob, the grandson of original owner Leon ‘Donkey’ Lucas, said he’s not interested in pressing charges against the culprit. “We just want the thing back,” he said.
As of today (13 Jan), the video has been viewed over 6,000 times on TikTok. They said they don’t have any updates on their missing bone, but hope still remains.
