This is the moment a police officer lifted the lid on a wheelie bin – and found a suspected shoplifter crouched inside.
Officers had been chasing a man and woman accused of swiping bottles of booze from John Lewis in Welwyn Garden City on December 8, 2025, before the pair split up in a bid to flee.
A Hertfordshire Police spokesperson said she has now been charged with nine shoplifting offences.
