Air Force basketball coach Joe Scott suspended indefinitely pending investigation

Joe Scott has been suspended by Air Force amid an investigation into his treatment of cadet-athletes.

Scott took over as coach of the Falcons, which represent the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado, back in 2020.

But on Saturday, the school announced that he has been suspended indefinitely pending an investigation.

Air Force assistant coach Jon Jordan has been appointed interim head coach. ‘No further information is releasable at this time,’ a statement read.

Scott is in his sixth year of his second go-around with the team and his coaching record with the team stands at 97-183.

The school’s announcement came just hours before the Falcons – who are 3-14 this season – host Nevada later on Saturday

Scott led Air Force to the NCAA Tournament in 2003-04 before taking over at Princeton for three seasons.

He then moved to the University of Denver, where he spent nearly a decade in charge of the Pioneers.

Scott was later an assistant coach for several seasons before returning to Air Force in 2020.
