Agencies have said bookings for doubles of the Three Lions are soaring – and they are desperately hunting for a lookalike of England manager Thomas Tuchel.
Demand for Cole Palmer lookalikes has exploded ahead of the World Cup. Bookings for the Chelsea star’s doppleganger have soared by 600%, according to the UK’s leading agency, Lookalikes.
The owner has now urged doubles to step forward and pocket a small fortune ahead of the tournament kicking off in June. Andy Harmer, who founded the East Sussex-based agency, said anyone who looks like the England sports stars could score big.
He said: “We have three Cole Palmers, four Harry Kane lookalikes and a Jack Grealish – but this new generation of England stars is definitely lacking. We’d love lookalikes for a lot of the current key players – Bellingham, Foden and Saka lookalikes could clean up this summer.”
The Three Lions are one of the favourites to win the tournament, which will mark 60 years since England’s only success in 1966.
Yet while interest in aces like Harry Kane and Jordan Pickford has also soared ahead of the tournament, founder Andy Harmer is desperately hunting another big name.
Andy, a former David Beckham lookalike, said: “We have over 100 footy lookalikes, but we can’t find a dead ringer for Thomas Tuchel anywhere.”
And he believes a first-rate lookalike for the England gaffer could net thousands over the summer.
He added: “At previous tournaments, lookalikes for the England boss have also been highly sought after.
“Southgate, Capello and Sven impersonators were booked out for weeks on end, and while we are already getting a lot of enquiries for a Thomas Tuchel lookalike, we don’t have anyone to fill the role.”
