Disney+ members can lock in the cheaper rate for three months by signing up before the looming deadline
Disney+ has just launched a rare deal that’s slashed its monthly subscription prices. On Thursday, the House of Mouse announced it was offering a Disney+ subscription for £3.99.
This flash sale has seen the Standard with Ads plan drop from the usual £5.99 per month to £3.99. This 33% saving also allows viewers to lock in the lower rate for three months and is available to new and returning subscribers.
The deal also undercuts the entry-level plans of major rivals like Netflix (£5.99), Amazon’s Prime Video (£5.99) and Apple TV (£9.99). However, this discount isn’t around for long and will expire on January 28, so there are only a few days left to snag the deal before the price goes back up.

There are other sale options too for those who prefer an ad-free experience. The Disney+ Standard plan is now £6.99 (was £9.99), saving £9, while the top-tier Disney+ Premium is now £9.99 (was £14.99), saving £15.
Each plan offers something unique, with the Premium plan providing the highest quality viewing experience with 4K UHD images access and support for Dolby Atmos sound. It’s also ideal for families as it allows streaming on four devices simultaneously, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Get Disney+ for £3.99
Disney+ has slashed its subscription price to £3.99 per month for three months on the Standard with Ads plan. It’s also offering the Standard plan for £6.99 and Premium plan for £9.99, but the deals expire on January 28.
Both the Standard with Ads and the mid-range Standard plans limits streaming to two devices at any one time, while the second option also allows downloads. But one standout feature of the Disney+ £3.99 deal is tucked away in the small print.
It’s open to both new and returning customers, meaning those who’ve previously had a Disney+ account can still reap the benefits. Users can even use the same email account. Once the three-month promotional period ends, the rate will revert to the standard price, depending on the chosen plan. This continues until the plan is cancelled, so there’s no set duration for payments.
The offer comes during a busy month for TV providers, with Sky giving away free Netflix with its Essential TV and Ultimate TV plans, which are also on sale. However, this is only a bargain for those needing a new TV setup, while those solely interested in Netflix won’t benefit from a starting monthly price of £15 for a minimum 24-month term.
While it’s been some time since Disney+ last reduced its prices, this isn’t the lowest we’ve seen. Back in June, the platform launched a rare £1.99 per month offer for three months. It comes as the streamer boosts its ever-growing library with a wave of new titles, including the new season of Tell Me Lies that’s currently making waves on social media.
Just landed on the platform is sci-fi sequel TRON: Ares, while Stephen Graham returns for a second round of A Thousand Blows. On the horizon is Ryan Murphy’s new body horror The Beauty landing on January 22, with conspiracy-thriller Paradise back for season two on February 23.
We’re also expecting the new Scrubs revival to launch sometime in February, while Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair is confirmed for an April 10 debut.
