Meghan Markle has reportedly axed her entire public relations (PR) team. In a bid to salvage a post-Megxit future. Reports have revealed that she has brought in some new crisis management in her camp.

The newly hired experts are said to have once handled her pre-royal image. The marketing move follows a reported string of staff departures. The Suits star is taking no chances as she and Prince Harry face mounting scrutiny in California, USA. The Sussexes have seemingly found it difficult to keep hold of their PR staff.

Just last month, Meredith Maines became the eleventh press officer to leave Harry and Meghan in just five years.

Meghan has now reportedly stopped searching for a new spokesperson and has instead returned to Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis (SSML). It is the same PR agency that managed her public image during her Hollywood days, before she joined the royal family.

Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis are well-known for their expertise in crisis communications, which could prove useful given the current circumstances, The Telegraph reported. Maines’ departure at the end of last year served as a reminder to royal watchers that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have faced ongoing challenges with staff retention, according to Vanity Fair.

A source told The Telegraph that “SSML has been working on intermittent projects with the Duke and Duchess since 2017”, and “is currently working with its in-house team at As Ever and with the couple on specific initiatives in the US”. Keleigh Thomas Morgan, a partner at SSML, reportedly attended Meghan and Harry’s wedding in 2018 and may now be leading their communications strategy.

Morgan played a key role in Meghan’s transformation from actress to duchess and later assisted with the couple’s transition from royal life to financial independence, under their Archewell foundation, as per Vanity Fair. After moving to California, Meghan and Harry tried to build their own in-house PR team, but this led to a rapid turnover of staff.

The Sussex have also seemingly acquire new friends who are equically experience scrutiny, both in the US and in the UK. The couple has reportedly formed a close new friendship with Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz.

Both couples are navigating high-profile family rifts dubbed “Megxit” and “Beckxit”. The foursome recently bonded at a Hollywood party, with insiders claiming the Sussexes were “particularly kind, caring and generous” to the younger couple.

Meghan is said to be eager to mentor Nicola, and the two couples are already discussing collaborations and exchanging frequent messages.
