Arsenal are close to seeing two players leave before the January transfer window closes and another could head for the exit door
Arsenal may be poised to see another departure from their ranks in the coming weeks, with Ethan Nwaneri eyeing the exit door.
The Gunners have until February 2 to wrap up their transfer business before the window shuts until the season concludes. Nwaneri close to securing a loan move away from the Emirates Stadium, with French outfit Marseille believed to be his likely destination.
The Arsenal talent has found first-team opportunities hard to come by this term after the club brought in Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke, and a loan spell would provide him with crucial playing time before the campaign ends. Meanwhile, fresh reports suggest Arsenal could witness yet another squad member departing before the January window draws to a close.

De Telegraaf in Holland claim that Christian Norgaard has caught the attention of Dutch giants Ajax ahead of the deadline. The report says that the 31-year-old features on a list of midfield targets for Ajax, alongside Manchester United’s Manuel Ugarte, West Ham‘s Edson Alvarez and Liverpool’s Wataru Endo.
Alvarez, who is presently on loan at Fenerbahce from the Hammers, is said to bne Ajax’s primary target, though Norgaard remains a player who continues to interest the Amsterdam outfit.
Ajax are also on the brink of securing Oleksandr Zinchenko’s signature from Arsenal ahead of the deadline, with reports indicating the deal is poised to be ‘announced’ imminently.
The left-back has spent the opening half of the campaign on loan at Nottingham Forest, but is now anticipated to finalise a switch to Ajax before the transfer window closes.
Zinchenko is in the final six months of his Arsenal contract and was originally expected to join Ajax on loan for the remainder of the season, but the Gunners are now thought to be seeking to negotiate a permanent arrangement for the left-back to move to the Eredivisie giants.
It was planned that Zinchenko would complete a medical on Tuesday to join Ajax on loan, but that was delayed with all parties now meeting again to thrash out a fresh deal that would see the Ukraine international move to Amsterdam permanently and bring his Arsenal stint to a close.
Zinchenko joined Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022 and has featured in 91 matches for the club following his £32million transfer from the Etihad Stadium three-and-a-half years ago.
