Sources have today described similarities between Nicola Peltz’s relationship with Brooklyn Beckham to that with her ex Anwar Hadid amid the Beckham family fallout
Nicola Peltz has been branded a “fame hungry liar” by the family of her ex-boyfriend Anwar Hadid.
His sister Alana, 40, ridiculed Brooklyn Beckham’s plea for privacy in his bombshell statement in which he said he wanted nothing to do with his parents.
Brooklyn, who wed Nicola in Florida in 2022, blew his family feud wide open when he claimed his parents were obsessed with publicity. But Alana wrote on Instagram: “Right and that girl doesn’t want privacy, she’s been trying to be famous for a decade.”
It comes as sources close to the Hadid family pointed out stark similarities between Nicola’s relationship with Brooklyn to the one with Anwar.
And they revealed they were furious with the way Nicola treated Anwar when they dated between 2016 and 2018.
Nepo baby Anwar, an underwear model, was four years younger than budding actress Nicola, who was said to be pleased she had bagged herself a member of the famous Hadid dynasty.
She is reported to have wasted no time in ingratiating herself with Anwar’s mum Yolanda. But it is thought Yolanda, 62, was “so relieved” when her only son split from Nicola.
A source told the Daily Mail: “Anwar’s mother and sisters were worried he was becoming increasingly unhappy in his relationship and they were keen for him to get out of it quickly.
“The age difference bothered them, and so did Nicola’s strong personality. It had started so well but they later began to no longer think the relationship was the best idea for Anwar. That led to some conversations between Anwar and the family.
“They feared he was struggling, going out with a woman who was older than him at such a formative time in his life. Strong words were had; Yolanda was so relieved when it all finished. Poor Anwar was somewhat discombobulated by the whole relationship.”
Defiant Brooklyn broke cover yesterday for the first time since he dropped his statement on Instagram dropped a grenade on one of Britain’s most famous families.
He and wife Nicola were seen strolling in Malibu, California, with their rescue dog. The pair had previously been holed up in their LA mansion.
Nicola clutched a drinks cup while wearing a white poncho, blue jeans and shades. Brooklyn dressed down in a sweater and a backwards-facing baseball cap.
