Shamed ex-prince Andrew Mountbatten Windsor has been dumped in an isolated rural cottage close to some of the UK’s most notorious dogging spots. The fallen royal will see out his days in a ramshackle Marsh Farm on the edge of the King’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk.

His modest pad is a far cry from the majesty of his 30-room mansion close to Windsor Castle. The location also has some dubious visitors.

By day, the sands, just a few minutes’ stroll from his new front door, are populated by bird watchers. But by night, the secluded dunes attract exhibitionists searching for a different kind of wildlife.

The location is flagged up on a string of websites dedicated to al fresco frolics. One website revealed of the sands at Snettisham: “Beach car park after dark, lots of action here. Also, beach car park.”

Another adult web page added: “Fun to be had at Snettisham. Usually a decent crowd after dark.” And just up the coast is Holkham Beach — another hotspot for outdoor sex.

It also a nudist beach. Thrill-seekers are told: “Holkham Village Car Park, Go to the Victoria pub up hill on right car park. Holkham Beach and car park, regular police patrols after ramblers campaign to stop dogging in the area.

“On the beach turn left and walk several hundred yards until you see the ‘clothing optional’ signs. There is plenty of space on the beach and some activity in the dunes. It is also an official naturist beach but beware of officials who don’t like dogging action.”

This comes as work continues on the pad in Wolferton — from Sandringham House — ahead of his move there after he is kicked out of Royal Lodge in Windsor. Workmen have added a 6ft fence around the perimeter, CCTV and security lighting and installed Sky TV.

Several new doors have also been lined up, but sources say there is still a lot of work to be done. Andrew could be out of Royal Lodge in weeks but has been offered temporary accommodation before he moves to Marsh Farm.
