Victoria Beckham has broken her silence for the first time since Brooklyn Beckham released a series of bombshell claims about the family.
Victoria Beckham has shared her thoughts about “great memories” from a day spent with her son Brooklyn and his brothers – marking her first public statement since the 26 year old made a series of shocking revelations about the family. Both Posh, 51, and David, 50, posted messages regarding the poignant family moment.
This could signal a fresh indication from the pair that they’re keeping the possibility of reconciliation alive, despite Brooklyn’s explosive allegations earlier this week – including a particularly damaging claim about his wedding where he said of Victoria: “She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”
He continued: “We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment. My wife has been consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we’ve tried to come together as one.”
Today, both David and Victoria left comments on photographer Platon Antoniou’s social media page – the same snapper who travelled to Madrid to capture images of Becks in 2006. In what seemed to be a direct response to the Beckham family turmoil, he posted a photograph showing David displaying large tattoos of Romeo, Cruz and Brooklyn across his back.
The photographer shared that Victoria had turned up with a seven year old Brooklyn for the photoshoot, recalling: “At one point, Brooklyn ran on set with his football under his arm and hugged his dad’s right leg” and described how the family then shared a group embrace on the photography set, reports the Mirror.
The post continued: “It was a poignant thing to see-this spontaneous moment of affection happening on a giant photography set in front of 60 people. Celebrity comes with a heavy price and often it is family members who also pay.”
The post concluded with: “In this picture, although David stands alone, we see the love of his children tattooed onto his back. Family is everything. David Beckham, I salute you.”
Victoria responded in the comments section, saying: “Brings back great memories!” accompanied by a red heart emoji, while David expressed his fondness for the post, commenting: “Good memories” along with a heart emoji.
Today, Harper, the youngest of the Beckham clan at 14, also chimed in, congratulating her brother Romeo – who has blocked Brooklyn on social media – on his modelling gig. This marks her first post since Brooklyn’s statement on Monday.
She tagged him and wrote: “Yet again! ! Another amazing show x.”
Victoria also praised Romeo, simply writing: “Proud,” alongside a video of him strutting down the Paris catwalk. Romeo’s girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, cheered him on with: “Goooooooo baby go.”
While Harper wasn’t mentioned in Brooklyn’s post earlier this week, his brothers Romeo and Cruz were alleged to have been enlisted to criticise him on social media.
He penned: “Since the moment I started standing up for myself with my family, I’ve received endless attacks from my parents, both privately and publicly, that were sent to the press on their orders. Even my brothers were sent to attack me on social media, before they ultimately blocked me out of nowhere this last Summer.”
In response to rumours that David and Victoria had unfollowed Brooklyn in December, Cruz clarified: “NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son… Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I.”
Speculation about a family feud has been circulating since as early as April.
