Man’s physique discovered inside UK resort as police and paramedics swarm constructing

Around 15 emergency services have swarmed a hotel in Rutherglen, Scotland in an ongoing incident on Sunday (January 25).

Multiple Police, fire and ambulance units are believed to be dealing with the incident at the Kings Park Hotel on Mill Street.

Speaking to Glasgow Live, photographer Charlotte Pawsey said she saw six police cars, four fire trucks, one hazmat response unit, two fire Marshals, and four ambulances, two of which are listed as incident response, are at the scene.

She added: “The police wouldn’t tell us anything other than it is quite serious and wouldn’t confirm if everyone was out safely.”

Police Scotland have since confirmed that large emergency services presence was dur to reports made over a death.

The force said they were called to the Kings Park hotel at around 11am after a man was found dead at the property.

Police Scotland are still on the scene to investigate further with the death is currently being treated as “unexplained”.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11am on Sunday, 26 January, 2026, we received a report of the death of a man at a hotel in Mill Street, Rutherglen. The death is unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”
