CCTV Captures 18-year-old Falling From The Tower Block After Her Boyfriend Pushed
Harrowing CCTV has captured the moment a monster boyfriend threw his teenage girlfriend out of a tower block window. Jordan Herring was found guilty of inflicting grievous bodily harm after his 18-year-old girlfriend plummeted from the fourth floor of Merton House, in Chelmsley Wood, Solihull in 2022.
He was acquitted of more serious charges of attempted murder and causing GBH ‘with intent’. Herring was convicted on the basis he ‘pushed’ or ‘threw’ the girl out of the window but did not intend her serious harm.
The 22-year-old had previously been found guilty of coercive and controlling behaviour against the same victim, reports Birmingham Live.
Herring, from Solihull, has already been remanded into custody and is due to be sentenced in April. The victim recalled him holding her up against a window at Merton House and threatening ‘I will throw you out, I will kill you’ but her memory was blank as to what happened next.
Chilling CCTV footage played to Birmingham Crown Court captured her plummeting nearly 40 feet from the tower block at 11.22pm on November 12, 2022.
Herring, who was also 18 at the time, was then seen ‘strolling’ down the stairs, followed by his mother Kerrie-Anne Grogan, whose flat they had been staying at.
They picked up the girl from the grass verge where she had landed, wrapped her in a blanket and carried her back upstairs.
It was more than one hour before emergency services were called. The young girl was rushed to the hospital in a critical state, needing a blood transfusion.
Her lungs had collapsed, her spleen was ruptured, she had a cut to her liver, while her ribs, spine and pelvis were broken.
Miraculously, she didn’t sustain any severe head injuries, having landed just inches away from the concrete pavement.
She was released from the hospital about a week later. Herring alleged that his girlfriend climbed out of the window herself and fell after they had an argument over accusations of infidelity.
