Donald Trump issued a petty response as the pressure on his piles for his administration’s shocking response to ICE protesters.

The US President was repeatedly heckled at a rally as some of his own supporters start to turn on him after the horrific killing of Alex Pretti, in Minneapolis. Trump audaciously held a rally in Iowa, on Tuesday, despite growing fears in the US after two citizens were killed in the streets by immigration officers. The US President set off to the Republican state to set off his campaign for the midterms but his horror campaign of fear and violence in Minneapolis has appeared to impact even his most loyal areas.

Trump got up on stage an ignored any mention of the pain felt in Minnesota and instead praised himself and his supposed achievements claiming it was the “greatest first year of any administration in American history”.

Amid the US President’s ego-boosting boasts, the rally was disrupted by demonstrators standing up to his brutal immigration crackdown.

In response to the protesters, Trump claimed: “You do know they are paid agitators, right? They get paid. These are all paid agitators, that’s all they are. They get paid. They’re paid insurrectionists.”

The President hit back at the demonstrators with a lame two word response as pressure piles on him from some of his own supporters. saying: “They’re sickos.”

Alex Pretti’s fatal shooting has been on of the most fierce points Trump has faced during his Presidency. One of Trump’s far-right mouthpieces Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem claimed the nurse was “brandishing” a gun before he was killed, but video evidence from eyewitnesses challenged this.

Noem also accused both Pretti and mum-of-three Renee Good of “domestic terrorism” in shocking claims against two dead US citizens.

After Tuesday’s rally, Trump told reporters Pretti’s death was “a very unfortunate incident” but then said the intensive care nurse “shouldn’t have been carrying a gun”. Footage did not show Pretti reaching for his gun at the scene, which was at his waist, and even showed an officer removing it from the holder before the nurse was shot and killed.

The National Rifle Association (NRA) and other gun rights groups have slammed the Trump administration and called suggestions that people should be for legally carrying a firearm on them “dangerous and wrong”.

Some Republican politicians have also publicly voiced their concerns around ICE’s controversial activity in Minneapolis. Senator Thom Tillis, of North Carolina, called for Noem to be removed saying she “has proven to be way out of her depth” and her role in Minneapolis “should be disqualifying”.
