A stunning lineswoman with a love of glamorous holidays and bikini pics has gone viral as football fans have found a new reason to start watching fourth and fifth-tier action in Italy
A stunning lineswoman has left football fans eagerly watching Italy’s fourth tier.
Serie D has garnered new attention after the promotion of the glamorous Giuliana Vigile. The 23-year-old officiates in the lower leagues of Italy’s football pyramid after stepping up from the fifth division Eccellenza.
Giuliana is a breath of fresh air to the game and has already built up a huge fanbase of more than 102,000 followers on Instagram, where she regularly shares snaps of her running the line, training to develop her skills as an official and her adventures away from the pitch.

Hailing from Cesena in Italy, Giuliana’s performances have been well received by Italian referee chiefs according to her reviews.
Gazzetta dello Sport report that referee controllers from the Italian refereeing association marked her with a high score in every match during her three years of officiating so far.
Gazzetta also reported that games in which she officiates have drawn bigger crowds compared to the clubs’ average attendance.
And the young official is clearly revelling in her position as her life motto is proudly displayed in her Instagram bio: “Pressure is a privilege.”
Giuliana’s social media presence has also seen her living the life of a social media influencer and model as she often uploads snaps of herself travelling to picturesque places, eating out at lavish restaurants and posing in bikinis and swimwear at the beach.
When asked how she likes to spend her time, she responded on Instagram: “Enjoying glamorous holidays and dining at swanky restaurants.”
She recently posted pictures of a trip to Padova, where she watched the Serie B team in action and explored the stunning Prato della Valle.
The official was also a student at the University of Bologna studying International and Diplomatic Sciences, according to publication El Grafico.
Giuliana will be looking to climb through the ranks of the Italian football pyramid in the years to come, with her sights now set on graduating to officiating matches in the Serie C, recognised as the third highest tier of professional football in Italy.
While in England all top four tiers are professional, and virtually the entire National League and a host of clubs in the sixth tier are full-time professional, it’s not the same story in Italy, with only the top three tiers fully professional.
The Serie D is the highest level of semi-professional football in Italy. It is comprised of nine groups based on regions, with all nine league winners promoted to Serie C – where there are three different leagues – replacing the bottom three teams in each division.
