Channel 4 viewers complained to the broadcaster on Wednesday night after tuning into a new documentary looking into the Beckham family feud.
The one-off documentary put the family dynamic under the microscope after their highly-publicised friction exploded last week, with the release of Brooklyn Beckham‘s damning six-page statement.
Brooklyn, 26, took to his Instagram stories last Monday to publicly sever all ties with his family and accuse his parents David and Victoria of trying to sabotage his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz.
After thrusting these once rumoured family disputes into the public sphere, the internet was set ablaze, with a slew of memes, debates and detective-work emerging online within hours.
Following on, Channel 4 went on to announce they too would delve into the dispute, with Beckham: Family at War – UNTOLD, that was released on Wednesday night.
But viewers of the broadcaster were less than thrilled to be tuning in to yet more Beckham’s based programming, hitting out Channel 4 were ‘scraping the barrel’.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, viewers were quick to hit out against the TV channel for making a prime-time show about the family, instead of other news stories.
One penned: ‘My god Channel 4, you’re now showing a documentary about a feud with Victoria Beckham’s family.
‘I switched channels immediately because it has absolutely nothing to do with me, you or anybody outside their family. Scraping the barrel or what!? Leave them alone.’
Another chimed in: ‘Is there not more going in this f***ing country, that could be aired than Channel 4 putting new Beckham: Family at War Untold on at Prime Time Evening 22.00pm.
‘Who actually gives a f*** about that? Show us what’s really going on in our f***ing country every day.’
A third agreed: ‘Beckham: Family at War, CH4. FFS! This attention-seeking family will stop at nothing in the name of their brand. More. KERCHING.’
‘After Channel 5, now Channel 4 do a quickly-made programme about the Beckhams,’ a fifth person added, nodding towards Channel 5’s The Beckham Feud, which will air this weekend.
Channel 4’s documentary took a dive into Brooklyn Beckham’s upbringing, showing clips and images of him alongside his parents in the height of their fame thanks to David’s footballing career, and Victoria’s Spice Girls success.
Fans were quick to show their opinion on the documentary on X

One awkward scene saw unearthed footage of Victoria revealing that Brooklyn had told her he wanted his future girlfriend to look ‘like his mum’.
From her 2007 reality series, Victoria Beckham – Come to America, the clip sees the fashion designer seated in a car as she opens up on Brooklyn’s first kiss.
She told the cameras: ‘Brooklyn phoned me this morning, he’s kissed his girlfriend.
‘I say, “What kind of girlfriend are you looking for, Brooklyn?” He says, “I want someone who looks just like mummy”.’
It comes after a GB News host has launched a blistering attack on Brooklyn Beckham, branding him a ‘multi millionaire spoilt brat’ and ‘ungrateful little toad’.
The TV presenter took aim at the son of David and Victoria Beckham for complaining about his ‘first-world problems’, after Brooklyn, 26, scathingly attacked his family in an Instagram post earlier this month.
In a series of Instagram stories, Brooklyn, who is the eldest child of Victoria, 51, and former footballer David, 50, hit out against his parents for being ‘performative’ through social media.
He accused them of ‘endlessly’ trying to ‘ruin’ his relationship with wife Nicola Peltz, and hit out against his mother for ‘hijacking’ his planned first dance with his wife.
GB News host Nana Akua has launched a blistering attack on Brooklyn Beckham, branding him a ‘multi-millionaire spoilt brat’ and ‘ungrateful little toad’

He said that the moment, planned weeks in advance, was supposed to be shared with Nicola, 31, and instead claimed Victoria danced ‘very inappropriately’ with him in front of the 500 wedding guests – and forced the couple to later renew their vows.
GB News star Nana Akua has blasted the star, accusing him of not appreciating his parents and branded him a ‘brat’ for not thanking his parents for his lifestyle.
Mocking Brooklyn live on air, Nana pretended to cry as she whined: ‘I’ve had such a terrible life, it’s so difficult, people – the self-made, hard-working parents who are famous and exceptional.’
‘They’ve achieved so much, I can make pancakes, do you want to see a video of me making a toastie?’ Nana added, mocking Brooklyn’s cooking career.
‘I’ve had to live with this privilege that my hard-working parents have given me everything. It’s not my fault I’ve bagged an heiress daughter of a billionaire and I’m set up for life, but my mum danced on me at the wedding.’
She continued: ‘Seriously? Talk about first-world problems. He definitely won’t find this funny. I think it’s hilarious.
‘Brooklyn, parents are embarrassing, and particularly at weddings, that’s just life.
‘Basically, Brooklyn, the reason you are in the position to even be looked at by Nicola Peltz is that your parents have made something of themselves.

‘They are global icons. They created brand Beckham, the very thing that you are dissing. This is a mean feat. They’ve done it with sheer unrelenting graft.
‘Basically, Brooklyn, they’ve given you everything.’
Nana went on to note how Victoria Beckham’s 2001 single Not Such An Innocent Girl shot to No 1 in the UK charts in the days that followed Brooklyn’s online attack.
She added: ‘At least Posh is back on top. Your efforts to denigrate your family have well and truly backfired, I’d leave it there, if I were you.
‘You see, most people are busy trying to make ends meet, and frankly, they don’t have much sympathy for multi-millionaire spoilt brats.
‘Now go and thank your parents for giving you such an incredible opportunity, you ungrateful little toad. Spice Girls, Viva Forever!’
Elsewhere, a wedding guest who attended Brooklyn Beckham’s Florida wedding to Nicola Peltz in 2022 has defended his mother Victoria after he made a series of bombshell allegations towards her.
Brooklyn wrote in his six-page statement: ‘In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead.
Brooklyn insisted in his statement that the reason he and Nicola chose to renew their vows just three years after their original ceremony was because Victoria had ruined their wedding day
Brooklyn’s statement included claims that Victoria had ‘hijacked his first dance’ and ‘danced very inappropriately on me’ (pictured at the wedding)
‘She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone.
‘I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life. We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment.’
But now one guest who attended the wedding has claimed Victoria’s dancing was anything but sleazy and believes the bride Nicola, was furious her mother-in-law ‘stole her limelight’ after Marc Anthony heaped praise on the Spice Girl throughout his set.
‘She was a bit wooden but not sleazy. It was inappropriate but only in the sense that she appeared to be the centre of attention when it should have been about the bride instead,’ the wedding guest told The Mirror.
‘Our takeaway was that there was no grinding. But it was a bit of a stiff, awkward performance.
‘It did rather feel like the Beckham show.
‘Marc Anthony had been praising Victoria in between songs, and then you had her go up on the dance floor for this moment. It was a bit much, and Nicola didn’t appear happy.’
Beckham: Family at War – UNTOLD is available to stream on Channel 4
