Aamar Mohammed approached his victim and walked her to the platform she needed to catch her train, invited her into his office where he turned the lights off and attacked her
Chilling footage shows the moment a train station worker “casually” returned to work after luring a teenage schoolgirl into his office at a railway station and sexually assaulting her.
Aamar Mohammed, 35, lured the 14-year-old passenger into an office before forcing himself on her while he was on duty at Worcester Shrub Hill station.
The station security guard had earlier approached her on the platform wearing a high-vis vest and asked where she was travelling to. Offering to help, he walked the victim to the platform her train was due to arrive at before heading into the office at the station.
A short while later the predatory thug asked her into the office, suggesting it was a warm place to go while she waited for her train. But as she approached, he turned the room’s lights off, and carried out a “deplorable” sexual assault once she was inside.
The victim managed to get away from him and return to the platform to board her train. Mohammed then emerged from the office and chillingly ‘waved her off’ as the service left the station.
The victim, who suffered bruising from the attack, reported Mohammed’s actions to her family who called the police. Mohammed was arrested later that evening on November 14, 2021 and charged with two counts of sexual assault.
He failed to appear for a subsequent court hearing and body-cam captured the moment he was rearrested at his home in March 2023. Mohammed, of Sandwell, West Mids., was found guilty following a week-long trial at Worcester Crown Court.
He was jailed for three years and eight months on January 12. He was also given an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and will be on the sex offenders register for life.
Detective Constable Tim Friend, of British Transport Police, said: “Aamar Mohammed used his trusted position as a station security guard to prey on a teenage girl and subject her to a deplorable sexual assault.
“His attack was so forceful that it left the victim with physical injuries, and will no doubt have a lasting impact on her psychologically.
“It is down to her bravery in reporting him to police, and determination to stick with the process as it progressed through the courts, that we have been able to bring a truly vile man to justice.
“We will stop at nothing to ensure sexual predators like Mohammed are removed from our communities and put behind bars where they belong.”
